John's brows drew together as he looked at the candle in its kitschy Chianti bottle holder. "And this is romantic how?" he enquired of his potential flatmate acidly.

Sherlock's gaze flicked away from the window to rest upon John. "Oh? Well, Angelo has old-fashioned ideas. I'm given to understand that a candle is meant to create an appropriate atmosphere, as well as soften the features of the potential inamorato."

John pursed his lips slightly and folded his hands on the table. Sherlock watched in puzzlement, then his features smoothed in understanding. "You are uncomfortable about being seen as my date. I'll have Angelo -"

The Reichenbach Fall

Of course this wouldn’t be a proper Gothic era style picture without other symbols.

But he moves everywhere, he's the strongest player! Though it occurs to me that John should have been the king, as he was the vulnerable one that needed protection.

Crazy detail, huh? I think I am physically and mentally incapable of do, like, SKETCH sketches. Like, doodley ones. WTF.

I think they already established in the show that Mycroft is the Queen of all. Sherlock said so.
